《Vol. 119》 Values of Gen MZ Public Officials and Countermeasure
The generational theory is on everyone’s lips as of late; and a discussion of the generational values is in full swing in the public sector. The discussion of the generational values in the public sector naturally leads to a discussion on the improvement of the organizational culture. As the so-called Gen MZ, referring to both Millennials and Gen Z in Korea, accounts for more than 40% of personnel in the government society, it is very important to identify which values the Gen MZ public officials have. This study was aimed at examining the values of the Gen MZ public officials and seeking for a countermeasure through questionnaire and interview surveys. As the percentage of Millennial and Gen Z public officials is constantly increasing, continuous observation will be necessary in the future.
